Mr. Estevez is the Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of Defense<br />

(Supply Chain Integration) within the Office of the Deputy Under<br />

Secretary of Defense (Logistics and Materiel Readiness). He is<br />

responsible for development of global supply-chain management and<br />

distribution policies and processes to support the warfighters’ operational<br />

requirements in the 21st Century. He assumed his current position and<br />

was inducted into the Senior Executive Service in October 2002.<br />

Prior to assuming his current position, Mr. Estevez was the<br />

Deputy to the Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of Defense<br />

(Transportation Policy) from May 2000 to September 2002. In that capacity, he was<br />

responsible for development of policies in support of DoD strategic mobility, transportation,<br />

and traffic management programs. From September 2001 to December 2001, Mr. Estevez<br />

was the Acting Assistant Deputy Under Secretary of Defense (Transportation Policy).<br />
