Reflections
At the end of each day, take time to
look over what we have done to:
N Examine what it means to us
individually, and
N Explore how what we have learned
can be applied in a broader setting.
Be sure to close each day’s activities
with a session of “Reflections” on the
day.
Make a note of the Px and trainers’
feedback, and attempt to address ideas
and concerns during the discussion and
during the following days’ lesson plans.

or concept from the previous day’s
training that needs clarification. The
Px conducting the exercise can help
group the second pieces of paper by
topic.
N Explain that “Where Are We?” will be
a regular feature of the beginning of
each day during the training session.

Effective Participation.)
Trainer Presentation (15 min.):
The trainer should:
N Review how the “Reflections” activity
will be performed.
N Explain that there are many ways to
conduct this exercise.
N Pass out two colored cards at the
end of each day to be completed
anonymously.
N On card one, Px should write what
they liked about the day and what
went well.
N On card two, Px should write the
things they did not like and that they
hope will improve.
N The “housekeeping team” and the
training team will review the results
at the end of the day. The trainer will
announce the results the following
day and will explain how the training
team responded to the suggestions.
N Explain that in addition to the
“Reflections” exercise, Px should
bring problems or concerns to the
attention of the housekeeping team
for discussion with the training team
at the end of the day.
