(a) Titling of Case<br />

Except as otherwise provided in Rule 9-105, a proceeding<br />

shall be titled, "In the matter of the Petition of ____________<br />

for the Adoption of [a Minor] [an Adult]," or "In the matter of<br />

Care Short of Adoption," as the case may be.<br />

A proceeding shall be titled “In re Adoption/Guardianship<br />

of _________________________________________ (first name and<br />

first initial of last name of prospective adoptee or ward).”<br />

(b) Petition for Adoption<br />

A petition for adoption shall be signed and verified by<br />
