Removing the obstacles to success
Travis Lindsey, of Frisco, Texas, feels that to engage in a business like this, it is crucial to get with
a person who has achieved success and put a plan together. This will help you make efficient use of
your time, set goals, create dreams and work your plan every day regardless of the obstacles that
arise. Travis said his biggest obstacle was overcoming his skepticism.
“I was waiting for the catch, or the fly in the ointment,” Travis said. “My career prior to Max made me
a very skeptical individual and I was concerned about how long the company would be around.”
Travis said any doubts he had about the company disappeared at Elevate 2009. In fact, two weeks after convention, Travis
left a 13-year job in the oil industry to pursue Max full-time because he realized what a solid company it was.
Travis said he doesn’t have an innovative approach to the business because it’s not necessary. The product is the innovation.
All you need to do is find someone who is successful at the business and do exactly what they do.
“What you’ve been doing before Max may have been a good use of time, but Max is the best use of time,” Travis said.
Finding the perfect fit at Max
Richard Markham, of Lynchburg, Virginia, said that if you had told him last January he would be taking a trip to Salt
Lake City with a dozen people he didn’t know, eating Sushi with a former brick mason turned relationship marketing
Diamond—and when it was over, his wife, Tina, who is disabled, not only survives the trip but says it is the most fun she’s
had in seven years—he wouldn’t have believed you. But that’s exactly what happened. Richard is a real estate appraiser
living in what he calls “a great place to raise a family.” He started searching last fall for a job to help him supplement his
full-time income.
“Finding a job that would allow me the flexibility to keep my chosen career and still help out at home with my wife was
challenging to say the least,” richard said.
Richard’s focus began to change from trading time for money to a job that could help others. Several paths converged
when on Feb. 19, 2009 Richard and Tina had the opportunity to hear Steve Scott. They were drawn to the message of the
company and saw that the timing and opportunity were great. Richard said he found Dr. Keller’s passion and compassion
truly inspiring.
