NON-DISCRIMINATION POLICY<br />

The council shall not discriminate in any regard<br />

with respect to race, creed, color, sex, sexual<br />

orientation, marital status, religion, national<br />

origin, ancestry, pregnancy and parenthood,<br />

custody of a minor child, or physical, mental, or<br />

sensory disability.<br />

AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIONS<br />

1. The council may officially represent itself,<br />

but not the office of mental health, the<br />

state of Louisiana, any state agency, or any<br />

individual member in any matter<br />

concerning or related to the council.<br />

2. No council member shall make<br />

representations on behalf of the council<br />

without the authorization of the council.<br />

1. The secretary shall prepare an agenda for each<br />

council meeting. Council members may<br />

submit motions in advance for placement on<br />

the agenda for consideration under the<br />

appropriate order of business. Officers and<br />

committees reporting recommendations for<br />

action by the council shall submit the<br />

recommendations to the secretary at least 10<br />

days before the meeting for entry on the<br />

agenda. The tentative agenda for all regular<br />

meetings will be available to all council<br />

members at least five (5) days prior to each<br />

council meeting. The secretary shall distribute<br />

the tentative agenda in advance to any<br />

member who requests it by the method<br />

requested by the member.<br />

2. Nothing contained in this rule shall prohibit<br />

the council from considering any matter<br />

otherwise in order and within its object at any<br />

regular meeting.<br />
