The Fund-raising Act 1978, as amended, which provides for control <strong>of</strong><br />

the collection or receipt <strong>of</strong> voluntary contributions from the public.<br />

Within the context <strong>of</strong> these three Acts, social welfare organizations are influenced by<br />

the provisions <strong>of</strong> other Acts which regulate the social welfare response to persons who<br />

are disadvantaged or at risk. Principal among these Acts are:<br />
