enhancing preschoolers‘ social and emotional skills. Given differences in programming<br />

dosage f<strong>or</strong> children who attend full- versus half-day classrooms, the fourth research goal<br />

included investigating differences in intervention effects between full- and half-day<br />

classrooms. In achieving these goals, five research questions were addressed:<br />

1. Did teachers implement intervention methods to fidelity?<br />

a. Did teachers comply with intervention methods?<br />

b. What were teachers‘ attitudes toward intervention implementation?<br />

2. Did a dialogic reading intervention with emotion-laden st<strong>or</strong>ybooks have positive<br />

effects on children‘s vocabulary skills?<br />

3. Will a dialogic reading intervention using emotion-laden st<strong>or</strong>ybooks have<br />

positive effects on children‘s emotion knowledge?<br />

4. Will a dialogic reading intervention with emotion-laden st<strong>or</strong>ybooks have positive<br />

effects on children‘s social skills?<br />

Will a dialogic reading intervention with emotion-laden st<strong>or</strong>ybooks have m<strong>or</strong>e positive<br />

effects on the vocabulary skills, emotion knowledge, and social skills <strong>of</strong> children in full-<br />

day versus half-day classrooms?<br />
