In diagnostic 1 for vaginal delivery in unmerged stays, Table ?? shows that some
differences exist between the proportion of ICD-9 coded in unmerged and merged
stays, but most difference are small and ICD-9 being largely unspecific, the clinical
signification is not straightforward.
