• Every disorder labelled as low-risk by a<br />

gastrointestinal specialist but not specified as a<br />

disorder requiring a level of intermediate care<br />

Gastrointestinal disorders<br />

• BMI, 35 or more (at first contact) or underweight<br />

(BMI less than 18 rrrr )<br />

• Gastric bypass<br />

• Cholestasis ≤ 40 mg/l<br />

Gastrointestinal disorders<br />

• Other chirurgical interv<strong>en</strong>tions with malabsorption<br />

• Stomach/duod<strong>en</strong>al ulcer<br />

• Cholestatis >40 mg/l<br />

• Disturbed liver functioning<br />

• Stoma<br />

• Severe acute abdominal pain , not pregnancy related<br />

(e.g. app<strong>en</strong>dicitis)<br />

• Acute/chronic pancreatitis<br />

• Other severe gastro-intestinal infections<br />

• Every disorder labelled as high-risk by a<br />

gastrointestinal specialist but not specified as a<br />

disorder requiring a level of standard care<br />

A level of int<strong>en</strong>sive care is required wh<strong>en</strong> a life threat<strong>en</strong>ing situation is diagnosed and wh<strong>en</strong> the pati<strong>en</strong>t needs the following support: mechanical v<strong>en</strong>tilation<br />

and/or multiple organ support and/ or invasive monitoring and/or artificial life support.<br />
