Air 1 - Minimize Smoke and Dust<br />
Control and reduce smoke and fugitive dust to protect human health, improve safety and/or<br />
reduce or eliminate environmental impacts.<br />
• Incorporate visibility requirements into project plans.<br />
• Use emission reduction techniques (ERT).<br />
Air 2 - <strong>Forest</strong> Air Quality Emissions<br />
Maintain and update the inventory for wildland fire emissions and other forest resource<br />
management emissions within the State Implementation <strong>Plan</strong> (SIP). The State Implementation<br />
<strong>Plan</strong> inventories establish levels of air pollution that meet the long-term federal air quality goals<br />
for bringing the non-attainment areas to attainment of the <strong>National</strong> Ambient<br />
Air Quality<br />
Standards.<br />
• Describe the magnitude and timing of prescribed and wildland fire emissions in each Air<br />
Pollution Control District.<br />
