Collaborate with local government, developers, and other entities to complement adjacent federal and non-federal land use zones and associated design criteria: • Participate in regional planning efforts to identify linkages to surrounding habitat reserves and other natural areas for maintenance of biodiversity. • Work with land conservancies, local government and others to secure long-term habitat linkages. • Manage national forest uses and activities to be compatible with maintenance of habitat linkages. • Actively participate with local government, developers, and other entities to protect national forest values at intermix and interface zones.
