Oil Level Switch<br />

Troubleshooting<br />

If the oil level in oil tank is in specified level,<br />

but the oil level indicator still goes on.<br />

1. Remove body cover.<br />

2. Disconnect oil gauge wire, and turn the<br />

main switch to ON position.<br />

Indicator light up Indicator not light up<br />

Short-circuit between<br />

indicator and oil<br />

gauge<br />

Malfunction of oil<br />

gauge<br />

If there is no oil in oil tank or low oil level, but<br />

the oil level indicator still not goes on.<br />

1. Remove body cover.<br />

2. Disconnect oil gauge wire and connect a<br />

jump wire among connector, and then turn<br />

the main switch to ON position.<br />

Poor wire connection Malfunction of oil<br />

3. Disconnect oil gauge connector, and<br />

check voltage between wire and ground.<br />

Open-circuit between<br />

oil gauge and<br />

indicator.<br />

Removal/Installation<br />

Remove oil tank.<br />

Remove oil level switch from the oil tank.<br />

Install the oil level switch in reverse order of<br />

removal procedures.<br />
