The Associate <strong>of</strong> Arts in Marketing provides preparation for entrylevel<br />

positions in marketing for a wide range <strong>of</strong> organizations and<br />

across many business environments. It includes basic instruction in<br />

the marketing <strong>of</strong> goods, services and ideas, advertising marketing<br />

and entrepreneurial marketing, as well as a broad knowledge<br />

<strong>of</strong> a range <strong>of</strong> business disciplines. It affords the opportunity to<br />

earn credit applicable to either the Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Arts in Business<br />

Administration – Marketing or the Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in<br />

The Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Arts in Accounting provides depth <strong>of</strong> knowledge<br />

in the theory and practice <strong>of</strong> financial and managerial accounting<br />

and business law, and a basic knowledge <strong>of</strong> auditing accounting<br />

information systems and tax, as well as a broad knowledge <strong>of</strong> a<br />

range <strong>of</strong> business disciplines. It prepares the student for careers in<br />

a variety <strong>of</strong> business, government and not-for-pr<strong>of</strong>it organizations.<br />

The deeper understanding <strong>of</strong> accounting topics may help students<br />

prepare for a wider range <strong>of</strong> accounting and finance careers.<br />

The Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in Accounting is a traditional four-year<br />

accounting program providing a solid business framework. This<br />

program includes the business practicum (focused on accounting)<br />

as well as access to the corporate mentor program. Students<br />

planning to take the CPA examination in <strong>Florida</strong> receive a solid<br />

foundation preparing them for the MBA accounting track, where<br />

they can earn sufficient credits to be eligible for this examination.<br />
