Eligibility<br />

Individuals designated as <strong>of</strong>f-campus students will pay the <strong>of</strong>fcampus<br />

student tuition for courses taken in Titusville or via<br />

distance learning.<br />

Registration<br />

Registration for Titusville students is conducted online each semester<br />

beginning on the date scheduled in the academic calendar.<br />

Students are strongly urged to register before classes begin. Under<br />

certain circumstances, students may be able to register through the<br />

second week <strong>of</strong> classes.<br />

On-Campus Students: Melbourne students may not register at the<br />

Titusville <strong>of</strong>fices. They must register online or at the Melbourne<br />

campus for all courses.<br />

Textbooks<br />

Textbooks will be sold through www.mbsdirect.net or through MBS<br />

DIRECT: (800) 325-3252.<br />

Libraries<br />

<strong>Florida</strong> Tech’s Evans Library on the Melbourne campus is within<br />

reasonable driving distance. Most services (except checking out<br />

materials) can be accessed via the Library Information Network<br />

(LINK) Web page at www.lib.fit.edu/. Other libraries located in<br />

Brevard County are available to students. These include the college<br />

libraries at Brevard Community College/UCF in Cocoa, and<br />

Brevard Community College in Melbourne and Titusville. Finally,<br />

public libraries are located in Brevard County population centers<br />

and include a research library in Cocoa.<br />

Email<br />

All <strong>Florida</strong> Tech students are automatically assigned an email<br />

address. To access this information go to www.fit.edu.<br />

Master’s degree programs <strong>of</strong>fered in addition to those listed in<br />

The purpose <strong>of</strong> the Virtual Site is to extend the educational opportunity<br />

to pursue graduate studies to individuals and groups who are<br />

unable to access traditional resident-based graduate programs.<br />

The Virtual Site <strong>of</strong>fers complete master’s degree programs in a total<br />

distance learning online environment. There is no requirement for<br />

U.S. residency.<br />

Graduate credit certificate programs are also available online. See<br />

this section for details about available graduate credit certificate<br />

programs.<br />

Admission is open to all individuals who possess an undergraduate<br />

degree from a university or college that is regionally accredited<br />

in the United States. Individuals who possess a degree from<br />

other than a U.S. college or university may be admitted subject to<br />

conditions for international student enrollments.<br />

Admission criteria are discussed in the Academic Overview section<br />

<strong>of</strong> this catalog.<br />

Individuals who do not meet the stated requirements for regular<br />

admission may petition to take graduate courses for credit as a<br />

continuing education applicant.<br />

Library Facilities<br />

Students may access the main <strong>Florida</strong> Tech library (Evans Library)<br />

via the Internet. The Library Information Network (LINK) provides<br />

access to the catalog <strong>of</strong> books, government publications and<br />

periodicals owned by the library as well as access to databases,<br />

full-text documents and Internet sites.<br />

The Bachelor <strong>of</strong> Science in Logistics Management is <strong>of</strong>fered to<br />

students who hold an associate <strong>of</strong> arts degree (minimum <strong>of</strong> 60<br />

semester credit hours) or the equivalent in transferable credit from<br />

a regionally accredited institution. The program is suited to military<br />

personnel who will continue through the master’s degree program<br />

in logistics management.<br />

The degree is conferred on a student who has successfully completed<br />

60 semester credit hours beyond the associate degree in<br />

accordance with the following requirements.<br />
