Safety for the <strong>Cadillac</strong> driver and passenger is of primary concern to the <strong>Cadillac</strong> Motor Car<br />
Division. This has been true in the past and will continue to be in the future. With a greater<br />
emphasis being placed on safety items, like seat and shoulder belts, people sometimes lose sight<br />
of the fact that these items would be useless if the structural quality of the car did not provide<br />
for built-in safety. That is why safety is engineered into the <strong>Cadillac</strong> at the basic design stage.<br />
In addition to the safety that's under the skin, every <strong>1969</strong> <strong>Cadillac</strong> provides, as standard<br />
equipment, the following impressive list of safety, anti-theft and convenience features:<br />
