SEATS<br />
HIGH BACK RISTS<br />
All cars (except front seat in style S) have<br />
new high profile forward-canted back rest<br />
seats.<br />
FRONT MAT TYPES<br />
Five front seat types are standard or optional<br />
on the various body styles. They are<br />
called:<br />
Regular Bench<br />
Notch Back Bench<br />
Dual Comfort<br />
Strato Bench<br />
Strato Bucket<br />
The chart on opposite page lists the body<br />
styles on which these front seats are available.<br />
DUAL COMFORT<br />
A new Dual Comfort notch back, divided<br />
front soot, providing both driver and passengers<br />
with a choice of seat adjustment for individual<br />
comfort, is standard on the Fleetwood<br />
Brougham.<br />
It Is optional on the Sixty Special and all<br />
Do Vllle cars except style L.<br />
Not available on the Eldorado.<br />
This seat Is divided at the left side of<br />
center arm rm*t, so that approximately 40%<br />
of its width is for the driver and 60% for<br />
passengers (room for 3 occupants). A full<br />
center arm rest Is attached to the passengers'<br />
section of back rest with an open space<br />
above, creating a "notch back" effect. In<br />
coupes, the back rests fold forward; in sedans<br />
they are secured.<br />
On coupe stylos equipped with power<br />
door locks, the back rests Include an electric<br />
back rmat release.<br />
DUAL COMFORT SEAT ADJUSTERS<br />
Each side is separately adjustable by a<br />
standard 2-way power adjuster for the driver's<br />
and a 2-way manual type for the passengers'<br />
section. 6-way power adjuster is optional for<br />
both driver and passenger sections.<br />
However, to order a 6-way passenger seat<br />
adjuster, code V, a 6-way driver's seat adjuster<br />
(code Y or a Basic Group) must also be ordered.<br />
INCLINING POSITION<br />
A semi-reclining position may be created<br />
in a passenger seat equipped with a 6-way adjuster<br />
by tilting the back rest rearward and<br />
lowering rear of cushion to its lowest point.<br />
REGULAR BENCH<br />
A regular bench seat has a one piece<br />
straight-across back rest and cushion. It is<br />
standard on all four-door cars except:<br />
Leather upholstered De Villes have a<br />
notch back bench.<br />
The Brougham has a Dual Comfort Seat.<br />
NOTCH BACK BENCH<br />
This seat has a regular straight-across bench<br />
cushion with individual back rests separated<br />
by a free standing center arm rest. An open<br />
space above the center arm rest gives it the<br />
"notch back" appearance. It is also called the<br />
"coupe type" seat because it is the standard<br />
in two-door cars except Eldorado. In Coupes,<br />
the individual back rests fold forward.<br />
The notch back seat is also standard in<br />
leather upholstered De Ville four-door Sedans,<br />
except that the back rests are secured to prevent<br />
folding forward.<br />
STRATO BENCH<br />
This Eldorado seat has a straight-across<br />
bench cushion with individual strato type back<br />
rests.<br />
BUCKET SEATS<br />
These are individual strato type Bucket<br />
Seats with a center console. They are only<br />
available on the Eldorado in Black or Lt. Flax<br />
leather.<br />
Recliners are not available on any seats-<br />
Bucket or Bench.<br />
Bucket Seats are not available on any other<br />
body style, even on special order.<br />
