when it was found that <strong>the</strong> whole work could not be issued in that year,<br />

<strong>the</strong> date was altered to m. dc. x x., and a few copies may have been<br />

printed before <strong>the</strong> alteration. <strong>The</strong> only copy which we have found is<br />

in <strong>the</strong> Bibliothfeque Nationale. <strong>The</strong> volume contains <strong>the</strong> three parts ; <strong>the</strong><br />

Tabula has M42 blank ; <strong>the</strong> Constructio has on its title-page <strong>the</strong> usual<br />

date <strong>of</strong> 1620, and has on H4I <strong>the</strong> Extraict <strong>the</strong> same as in <strong>the</strong> Advocates'<br />

Library copy mentioned in <strong>the</strong> preceding entry.<br />

[Printed in black and red.]<br />

This issue is evidently not a new edition, but <strong>the</strong> remainder <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

edition <strong>of</strong> 1620 with <strong>the</strong> following alterations. In <strong>the</strong> Descriptio signature<br />

A has been reprinted with title-page as above, and several o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

less important alterations. <strong>The</strong> Tabula is unaltered, still retaining<br />

<strong>the</strong> name <strong>of</strong> Barth. Vincent on <strong>the</strong> title-page. <strong>The</strong> Constructio has<br />

<strong>the</strong> first two leaves cut out so that <strong>the</strong> first page is numbered 5.<br />

<strong>The</strong> Extraict is <strong>of</strong>ten wanting on M22 <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Tabula, but in <strong>the</strong> copies<br />

examined is printed on H4I <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Constructio, exactly as in <strong>the</strong><br />

Advocates' Library copy <strong>of</strong> 1620, <strong>the</strong> name <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> work in <strong>the</strong> Extraict<br />

being that on <strong>the</strong> first title-page <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> 1620 edition, and not that used<br />

in <strong>the</strong> title-page given above.<br />
