7.3 Component Replacement Procedure<br />
WARNING:<br />
Take Anti-Static precautions whenever maintenance is being carried out on the<br />
system components. Failure to take anti-static precautions can cause<br />
permanent system damage. For more details on anti-static precautions, please<br />
refer to Section 4.1.<br />
The embedded system components listed below can all be replaced if they fail:<br />
• KINO motherboard<br />
• CPU cooling fan<br />
• CPU<br />
• Power module<br />
• Cooling fans<br />
• DIMM module<br />
7.3.1 DIMM Module Replacement<br />
The installation procedure for the DIMM modules have already been fully described in<br />
Chapter 4. Please refer to Section 4.2.7 to see how to install/replace the DIMM module.<br />
7.3.2 Motherboard Replacement<br />
KINO motherboard replacement includes the following two procedures:<br />
Step 1: Removing the malfunction motherboard<br />

To remove the KINO motherboard, please follow the steps below.<br />
