School health educati<strong>on</strong> at schools: from Grade 1 through to grade 12:<br />

educati<strong>on</strong> includes HIV, sexually transmitted infecti<strong>on</strong>s, pregnancy,<br />

general outreach<br />

From grade 1: Examinati<strong>on</strong> and pers<strong>on</strong>al hygiene and immunizati<strong>on</strong><br />

Nutriti<strong>on</strong> program: under health educati<strong>on</strong><br />

<strong>Health</strong> educati<strong>on</strong> in community<br />

Very helpful and friendly, we did not make an appointment and they<br />

welcomed us<br />

What about attitudes toward service users? Any difference in attitude to<br />

HIV+ users?<br />

Malaria, skin diseases, pneum<strong>on</strong>ia, diarrhea, sexually transmitted<br />

infecti<strong>on</strong>s, no polio<br />

Understaffed: should be 5 or 6 nurses<br />

Counselor: work overload as she helps out with other needs as well: if<br />

she goes away then no <strong>on</strong>e to do counseling<br />

Only <strong>on</strong>e clerk who keeps safe key with m<strong>on</strong>ey: if she goes away then<br />

no <strong>on</strong>e to do this<br />

Medicine does not always come <strong>on</strong> time<br />
