Pre-Opening Event with Ulrich Peltzer<br />
The literary evening with Ulrich Peltzer, one of the most<br />
prominent contemporary German prose writers, will be organized<br />
in collaboration with the Goethe-Institut Ljubljana.<br />
The programme will feature Ulrich Peltzer, actor Igor Delfin,<br />
as well as translator and moderator Amalija Maček.<br />
Ulrich Peltzer, Germany<br />
Ulrich Peltzer was born in 1956 in Krefeld, although he now<br />
resides in Berlin. After graduating in philosophy and psychology<br />
in Berlin, he worked as a forensic psychologist in<br />
Naples and in Sicily. He then switched jobs and did various<br />
kinds of work. In 1992 he received the Bertelsmann corporation<br />
scholarship as part of the Ingeborg Bachmann prize.<br />
Since the mid-1990s he has travelled to New York to stay<br />
there for longer periods of time, all the while writing film<br />
reviews and attending readings. Among his works there<br />
are novels such as Die Sünden der Faulheit (The Sins of<br />
Sloth, 1987), Stefan Martinez (1995), Alle oder keiner (All<br />
or None, 1999), Teil der Lösung (Part of the Solution, 2007)<br />
and the tale Bryant Park (2002). The publishing company<br />
Sanje has released the Slovene translation by Amalija Maček<br />
of Bryant Park. Peltzer has received numerous prizes,<br />
among them there are the Berlin Literature Prize awarded<br />
by the Prussian Sea Trade Society (1996), the Anna Seghers<br />
Prize (1997), the SWR broadcaster award for best broadcasted<br />
works (2000), the Niederrhein literary award (2001),<br />
the city of Bremen literary award (2003), the Berlin art<br />
academy award (2008). In 2006 he was writer-in-residence<br />
at New York university.<br />
Predvečer Vilenice z Ulrichom Peltzerjem<br />
V sodelovanju z Goethe-Institutom Ljubljana pripravljamo<br />
literarni večer z enim najvidnejših predstavnikov<br />
sodobne nemške proze Ulrichom Peltzerjem. Literarni<br />
večer bodo sooblikovali Ulrich Peltzer, igralec Igor<br />
Delfin in prevajalka ter moderatorka Amalija Maček.<br />
Ulrich Peltzer, Nemčija<br />
Ulrich Peltzer se je rodil leta 1956 v Krefeldu, danes pa<br />
živi v Berlinu. Po koncu študija filozofije in psihologije<br />
v Berlinu je delal kot forenzični psiholog v Neaplju in<br />
na Siciliji. Nato je zamenjal nekaj služb in se ukvarjal z<br />
različnimi dejavnostmi. Leta 1992 je prejel štipendijo<br />
koncerna Bertelsmann v okviru nagrade Ingeborg Bachmann.<br />
Od sredine devetdesetih je za dalj časa zahajal<br />
v New York, vzporedno pisal filmske kritike in se udeleževal<br />
branj. K njegovim delom prištevamo romane: Die<br />
Sünden der Faulheit (Grehi lenobe, 1987), Stefan Martinez<br />
(1995), Alle oder keiner (Vsi ali nihče, 1999), Teil der<br />
Lösung (Del rešitve, 2007) in pripoved Bryant Park (2002).<br />
Knjiga Bryant Park je v slovenskem prevodu Amalije Maček<br />
izšla pri založbi Sanje. Peltzer je prejemnik številnih<br />
nagrad, med njimi berlinske nagrade za književnost, ki<br />
jo podeljuje Sklad pruske pomorske trgovine (1996),<br />
nagrade Anne Seghers (1997), nagrade najboljših del<br />
radiotelevizije SWR (2000), literarne nagrade Spodnjega<br />
Porenja (2001), literarne nagrade mesta Bremen (2003)<br />
in nagrade Berlinske akademije umetnosti (2008). Leta<br />
2006 mu je newyorška univerza dodelila rezidenčno<br />
pisateljsko štipendijo za bivanje v New Yorku.
