Kapittel 6. Beite, seter og dyrkingsjord.
§ 6-1. (beiterett)
Eiendom med tilliggende bruksrett i
bygdeallmenning, jfr. § 2-1, har rett til beite
med så stor besetning som kan vinterføs på
eiendommen.
Allmenningsstyret kan samtykke i at det blir
beitet med større besetning enn nevnt i første
ledd, når det kan skje uten vesentlig skade for
skogen eller for andre bruksberettigede.
§ 6-2. (disponering av ledig beite)
Beite som ikke utnyttes av de
bruksberettigede, kan allmenningsstyret gi
andre adgang til å gjøre bruk av. Vilkårene
for bruken fastsettes ved avtale. Tillatelse kan
bare gis når beiting kan skje uten vesentlig
skade for skogen eller for noen
bruksberettiget.
§ 6-3. (beiteordning)
Nærmere regler om ordning av beitebruken
fastsettes i bruksreglene for den enkelte
allmenning, jfr. § 3-7. Reglene kan blant
annet gå ut på inndeling av beitet i felt,
fastsettelse av beitetider, begrensninger i
antall beitedyr av forskjellig slag innen de
enkelte beitefelt og organisert tilsyn og
sanking.
Beiteordning som er fastsatt etter reglene i
lov av 21. desember 1979 nr. 77 om
jordskifte o.a. § 33 annet ledd, skal
allmenningsstyret besørge inntatt i
bruksreglene for allmenningen. Slik
godkjennelse fra departementet som nevnt i §
3-8 første ledd første punktum er i dette
tilfellet ikke nødvendig.

Chapter 6 Grazing, mountain pastures and
houses - ‘seter’ vi - and cultivated land
Section 6-1 (grazing rights)
Holding with rights of common appendant in
the bygd commons, cf. Section 2-1, has the
right to graze as much cattle as can be fed
over the winter on the holding (vinterfø).
The commons board may consent to grazing
with more cattle than mentioned in the first
paragraph, when it can be done without
significant harm to the forest or for others
with rights of common.
Section 6-2 (allocation of available grazing)
For pasture which is not used by those with
rights of common, the commons board may
provide others access to make use of it.
Terms of usage are determined by agreement
[contract]. Permission may be granted only
when grazing can occur without significant
harm to the forest or for others with rights of
common.
Section 6-3 (grazing arrangement)
Detailed rules concerning the arrangement of
grazing are determined in the bylaws for the
individual commons, cf. Section 3-7. The
rules can, among other things, concern the
division of grazing into sections, the
determination of grazing periods, limitations
in the number of grazing animals of various
kinds within each grazing section and
organized supervision and collection.
The commons board shall ensure that a
grazing arrangement, which is established
under the provisions of the Act of 21
December 1979 No. 77 on land consolidation,
etc. Section 33 second paragraph, is included
in the bylaws for the commons. Such
approval from the Ministry as stated in
Section 3-8 first paragraph first sentence in
this instance is not necessary.
