The Company’s business is operated through its wholly owned subsidiaries, Comrod AS in Norway
and Lerc SA in France. As per 30 September 2006 the Company had 166 employees, 85 of whom
were employed at Lerc S.A. and 81 of whom worked at Comrod AS.

5.3 Background and history
The Company’s origins dates back to 1948 when the company Brødrene Tjøstheim was incorporated
in Tau outside of Stavanger in Western Norway. Comrod AS has developed from a manufacturer of
fishing rods to today’s advanced communication antennas, antenna systems and lightweight mast
solutions.
