Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Position
The position of Chief Financial Officer has been established by the Bylaws of the
International Pentecostal Holiness Church (IPHC Bylaws, adopted July 2009,
section on Administrative Services-Article I. H.2.b.1)).
As a member of the General Superintendent Division of the Global Ministry
Center, the CFO shall provide direction for the Administrative Services
department. The CFO will lead all financial administration, business planning,
budgeting, human resources, information technology, operations and risk
management, while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the
ministry’s overall strategy.
The CFO will direct the Administrative Services department which includes the
following functional areas:
• Accounting and Finance;
• Human Resources (HR);
• Network Services and Information Technology (IT);
• Operations Management
• Risk Management
Responsibilities
Specific responsibilities include:
1. At the direction of the Finance Committee and the Executive Committee,
engaging key leaders and departments in the development of short- and
long-term financial strategies and the modeling and monitoring tools to
measure progress;
2. Advising key leadership regarding issues, trends, and changes in the
Ministry’s operating model;
3. Overseeing short- and long-term budgetary planning, implementation of
budgets, and financial management in alignment with the Ministry’s
strategic plan;
4. Management of cash flow and providing financial forecasting;
5. Seeing that all financial transactions are properly recorded in accordance
with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and all applicable
federal and state laws;
6. Establishing and maintaining an effective system of internal control in
consultation with the Executive Committee and the Finance Committee;
