Position<br />

The position of Chief Financial Officer has been established by the Bylaws of the<br />

<strong>International</strong> <strong>Pentecostal</strong> <strong>Holiness</strong> <strong>Church</strong> (IPHC Bylaws, adopted July 2009,<br />

section on Administrative Services-Article I. H.2.b.1)).<br />

As a member of the General Superintendent Division of the Global Ministry<br />

Center, the CFO shall provide direction for the Administrative Services<br />

department. The CFO will lead all financial administration, business planning,<br />

budgeting, human resources, information technology, operations and risk<br />

management, while also being an active participant in, and driver of, the<br />

ministry’s overall strategy.<br />

The CFO will direct the Administrative Services department which includes the<br />

following functional areas:<br />

• Accounting and Finance;<br />

• Human Resources (HR);<br />

• Network Services and Information Technology (IT);<br />

• Operations Management<br />

• Risk Management<br />

Responsibilities<br />

Specific responsibilities include:<br />

1. At the direction of the Finance Committee and the Executive Committee,<br />

engaging key leaders and departments in the development of short- and<br />

long-term financial strategies and the modeling and monitoring tools to<br />

measure progress;<br />

2. Advising key leadership regarding issues, trends, and changes in the<br />

Ministry’s operating model;<br />

3. Overseeing short- and long-term budgetary planning, implementation of<br />

budgets, and financial management in alignment with the Ministry’s<br />

strategic plan;<br />

4. Management of cash flow and providing financial forecasting;<br />

5. Seeing that all financial transactions are properly recorded in accordance<br />

with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and all applicable<br />

federal and state laws;<br />

6. Establishing and maintaining an effective system of internal control in<br />

consultation with the Executive Committee and the Finance Committee;<br />
