FINANCIAL REVIEW<br />
Issues were discussed regarding the hiring freeze and<br />
filling GMC vacant positions.<br />
Greg Hearn reported on the current status of the new<br />
accounting system, reports, data entry, challenges of<br />
transition, etc.<br />
MOTION to request permission from the Finance<br />
Committee to hire a full time, temporary employee for<br />
up to 90 days to alleviate Accounting’s excessive<br />
workload.<br />

Becky Chasteen presented information for<br />
consideration on the following issues:<br />
GMC Policy for Funeral Flowers<br />
Summer Work Schedules<br />
Computerized time sheet<br />
Signage in building<br />

Greg Hearn presented the March 2010 financial reports<br />
with explanation of how to read the new reports.<br />
The question was raised regarding where the oil<br />
royalties received are deposited. They are deposited<br />
into GMC General Account.<br />
The question was raised about microfilming and<br />
archiving expenses currently paid from the GMC<br />
General Account. It was suggested that Archives<br />
provide training and create an annual budget for<br />
Archives.<br />
MOTION to approve payment of the microfilming and<br />
archiving expenses associated with the dissolution of<br />
the Stewardship Ministries from the GMC General<br />
Account.<br />
APPROVED<br />
By consensus, it was agreed that approving requests for<br />
dual computer monitors would be left to the CFO’s<br />
discretion.<br />
A proposal was presented by Greg Hearn to change the<br />
copier/printer inventory in the GMC building.<br />
Elimination of individual small printers would occur over<br />
a period of time as current printers become obsolete.<br />
