EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE OF THE COUNCIL OF BISHOPS MEETING MINUTES
GMC SPRINGER CONFERENCE ROOM

APRIL 26-27, 2010
The meeting was called to order by Presiding Bishop Ronald Carpenter, Sr. at 2:10 p.m.
Attendees: Bishop Ronald Carpenter, Sr., Doug Beacham, Chris Thompson and Talmadge Gardner.
Staff members present: Mike Gray, Jana Delano, and Nina Brewsaugh, recording secretary.

EXTENSION LOAN FUND
Bishop Carpenter shared Romans 8:28-31, with the
emphasis on verse 28. Prayer requests were presented.
Bishop Thompson led in prayer.
Mike Gray gave an update on the contract negotiations
and status with the Sheraton Downtown in Dallas for
the General Conference in 2013. All is going well.
Mike gave an update on the IPHC World Conference
plans. September 26-30, 2011 are the tentative dates
for the World Conference, dependent on availability of
property. Madrid is the primary target with Toledo,
secondary.

Ronald W. Carpenter, Sr., General Superintendent’s
Division
J. Talmadge Gardner, Executive Director, Discipleship
Ministries
A. D. Beacham, Jr., Executive Director, World Missions
Ministries
David Parker, President of ELF, and Lawn Gardner,
Attorney, reported to the EC-COB on Lawn Gardner’s
new role as a contract attorney for ELF. He will be
working with the ELF loans, wills, etc., replacing
Jonathan Burch. Two items presented for discussion
were:
‣ Contract Summary Agreement with ELF & IPH
Foundation
‣ ELF By-laws - Question on Distribution of Funds
to IPHC ministries. The ELF Board was not satisfied
with some of the wording. The Executive
Committee asked David to come up with more
