intrinsic environmental value including<br />

sites of international, national, regional or<br />

sub-regional significance.<br />

The <strong>Plan</strong> aims to provide a vision for new<br />

development and land use over the whole period to<br />

2016. Inevitably, however, circumstances will change<br />

and new development and conservation needs will<br />

emerge in the next few years. The <strong>Plan</strong> will in due<br />

course be replaced by new planning documents,<br />

prepared under the new planning system introduced<br />

by the <strong>Plan</strong>ning and Compulsory Purchase Act 2004.<br />

These new documents will take account of the<br />

performance of this UDP against the indicators and<br />

targets which have been set, and will replace, amend<br />

or continue the policies as appropriate.<br />

• Affordable housing completions.<br />

CHAPTER 6 "ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT"<br />

• Amount of floorspace developed for<br />

employment by type.<br />

• Amount of floorspace developed for<br />

employment, by type, which is in employment<br />

or regeneration areas defined in the UDP.<br />
