OPERATION SETTING<br />

Function of calculating and displaying the micromotor gear ratio<br />

▪ This setting function converts the gear ratio of the<br />

contra-angle handpiece to be mounted to the<br />

micromotor and displays values near the actual<br />

revolutions.<br />

▪ Four gear ratios are converted: ×5, ×1, ÷4 and ÷16.<br />

▪ No gear ratio is displayed in the constant-speed<br />

mo<strong>de</strong>.<br />

[Setting procedures]<br />

1. Pick the micromotor up from the hol<strong>de</strong>r.<br />

2. Press the page feed button twice and select<br />

.<br />

3. Select “Set gear ratio” and press to <strong>de</strong>termine.<br />

4. Select inten<strong>de</strong>d setting with or and<br />

press to save.<br />

▪ Setting is stored in memory (M1 to M4).<br />

CAUTION<br />

Check the gear ratios and revolutions marked on the<br />

high-, regular- and slow-speed contra-angle<br />

handpieces and indicator before use.<br />

Never carry out work requiring large load at low<br />

revolutions such as PMTC using a rubber cup or brush<br />

for the regular-speed contra-angle handpiece, etc.<br />

Otherwise, the <strong>de</strong>vices may break down earlier or<br />

rotation may stop due to insufficient torque. For such<br />

works, use the exclusive slow-speed contra-angle<br />

handpiece.<br />
