4) Closed Crew Camp<br />

Employee housing occupied by employees of an applicant business or<br />

premises leased to a business for the purpose of providing temporary housing<br />

to only the employees of that business.<br />

6.27.2 Conditional Use Permit<br />

A Temporary Closed Crew Camp Housing Permit may be granted by the <strong>County</strong><br />

Commission as a conditional use, the issuance of which is subject to the<br />

procedures contained within Section 8.3 of this Code. It is allowable as a<br />

conditional use in the Industrial Zoning District, but in no case within three miles<br />

of the jurisdictional boundary of any incorporated city within this county unless<br />

the Planning and Zoning Board receives written approval from the affected<br />

jurisdiction to the siting of a facility within that area. Additionally, all Temporary<br />

Crew Camps shall be subject to a one-half mile set back from U.S. Interstate-94,<br />

U.S. Highway 85, <strong>North</strong> <strong>Dakota</strong> State Highway 22 and <strong>Stark</strong> <strong>County</strong> Highway 10.<br />

6.27.3 Application Procedure<br />

An application for a Temporary Crew Housing Permit shall be signed by the<br />

applicant and the property owner and shall include the following information:<br />

1) A written description of the propose facility.<br />

2) A description of the units together with a numbering system.<br />

3) A description of how the proposed units are set and/or anchored.<br />

4) A statement that roads to be constructed within the facility will meet<br />

county specifications and if the facility is within three miles of a city, the<br />

city’s road specifications, if any.<br />

5) The name and address and contact information of the applicant and the<br />

property owner<br />

6) Consent of the owner to a background check<br />

7) Biographies of key company employees.<br />

8) Whether the applicant has ever engaged in the business of owning or<br />

operating a crew housing facility before, and if so, the dates and locations<br />

of such ownership or operation.<br />

9) The name and address and contact information of the on-site manager.<br />
