Dear Ministers
I am pleased to submit for tabling in Parliament the Annual
Report for the Department of Transport for the year ended
30 June 2012.
The report includes the Annual Report for Transport for
NSW for the period from its constitution on 1 November
2011 to 30 June 2012. Transport for NSW was created as a
new integrated transport authority. It has assumed a range
of functions previously performed by the Department of
Transport and other transport agencies.
This Annual Report has been prepared in accordance with
the Annual Reports (Departments) Act 1985, in respect of the
Department of Transport, and the Annual Reports (Statutory
Bodies) Act 1984 in respect of Transport for NSW. Inclusion
of the report in respect of Transport for NSW is authorised by
section 3L of the Transport Administration Act 1988.
