The Way Forward
→ The country needs a social construct and contract,
beneficial to all and is developmental and sustainable
→ The labour market is in need of rationalization:
→ A more highly trained and skilled workforce
→ Higher participation of working-age population
→ Reduction of structural unemployment
→ More persons engaged high productivity jobs
→ More equitable distribution of income and reward
→ Need for a Performance Management Approach
→ Planning and agreeing the work to be done;
→ Monitoring the work being done against objectives or
work agreed;
→ Measuring the work done relative to objectives or work
agreed, and
→ Rewarding the work done according to agreement
