DANCE
Country Line Dancing
(Adult) The earliest folk dances in many cultures were
line dances. Folk line dances have many forms: pairs
of lines in which the dancers face each other, a line
formed into a circle, or the line follows a leader around
the dance floor. Although line dancing is associated
with country-western music and dance, line dances
have accompanied many popular music styles since
the early 1970s, including pop, swing, rock and roll,
disco, Latin (Salsa Suelta), and jazz. Most recently,
the Macarena and the Chicken Dance provide other
examples of line dance.

JULIE DALE has been a dance instructor since
1963, training adults and children in the art of
dance and related interests. In learning to dance,
her students develop poise, self-confidence, and
physical fitness. Come dance with Julie and you
will soon be “Dancing with your own Star”.
Ballroom Dance I
(Adult) Learning to dance! It’s fun; it’s easy. Walk
in and dance out! We welcome you to our world of
dance. Learn slow and fast dancing, as well as some
Latin moves. DVD’s from “The Dance Collection I,”
by Julie Dale, are available at the RVC book Store
to enhance your learning experience. All Beginners
will receive a certificate of completion at the last
class during the “Snow Ball” award presentation on
November 17, 6:00-8:00 pm.

experience. The “Snow Ball” will be a dress up
occasion on the November 17, from 6-8 pm. Ballroom
Dance II students may perform for Ballroom Dance I
students if they would like. All couples will receive
a certificate of completion at the “Snow Ball” award
presentation.

in groups where you’ll write a script, plan for a shoot,
shoot, direct, and edit the film. Learn how to plan and
execute the film. Every student will have the chance
to write, shoot, direct, and edit your films. Learn how
to submit film to film festivals. There is no reason to
