part program that focuses on the skills needed to promote self awareness,<br />
become a better decision maker, <strong>and</strong> define the path to your<br />
success. This course is geared toward self improvement for better<br />
underst<strong>and</strong>ing of self <strong>and</strong> those you interact with. Whether you’re<br />
currently in leadership, aspiring to leadership, or just looking to make<br />
yourself a better employee or person this course is for you.<br />
Instructor: Ian Gregory has a teaching background <strong>and</strong> has taught for<br />
many years for Blackhawk Technical College, Janesville, WI, Mercy<br />
Hospital <strong>and</strong> U.W. Hospital, Madison, WI as an EMT <strong>and</strong> Paramedic<br />
instructor. Ian is a recently retired Captain from the City of Beloit Fire<br />
Department <strong>and</strong> was responsible for overseeing training for the department<br />
<strong>and</strong> integrated teaching leadership course to the department.<br />
Instructor: Karen Redieske has over 20 years of business experience<br />
including small business, city government <strong>and</strong> self-employment. She<br />
has a degree in Business Administration <strong>and</strong> a solid foundation of<br />
business procedures <strong>and</strong> realizes the importance of effective leadership<br />
in the workplace as well as our personal lives.<br />

This two-part course explores the most important component—YOU!<br />

<strong>and</strong> get a 360 Assessment so you’ll know where you st<strong>and</strong> as you<br />
decide where you’re going.<br />
Goal Setting <strong>and</strong> Action Plans<br />
This class in not just about setting goals <strong>and</strong> writing actions plans,<br />
it’s about underst<strong>and</strong>ing <strong>and</strong> overcoming the obstacles that too often<br />
derail their successful implementation.<br />
Communication<br />
Why are we the way we are? Why do we resist change? We have<br />
three brains? Find the answers to the one issue you must deal with<br />
on a constant basis-change. It’s not what you’re hearing that’s hurting<br />

(1 Credit) This course, offered in partnership with the Illinois Bankers<br />
Association, provides entry to mid-level bankers/tellers with<br />
information needed to provide effective service to customers, conduct<br />
basic financial transactions, thus improving bank profitability. Also discussed<br />
are the effects banks have on the U.S. economy, the purpose<br />
<strong>and</strong> business of banking, products <strong>and</strong> services provided by banks <strong>and</strong><br />
how they are delivered. Lastly, students will gain an underst<strong>and</strong>ing of<br />
basic financial transactions <strong>and</strong> the application of banking laws <strong>and</strong><br />
