Folk line dances have many forms: pairs of lines in which the dancers face each other, a line formed into a circle, or the line follows a leader around the dance floor. Although line dancing is associated with country-western music and dance, line dances have accompanied many popular music styles since the early 1970s, including pop, swing, rock and roll, disco, Latin (Salsa Suelta), and jazz. Most recently, the Macarena and the Chicken Dance provide other examples of line dance. Learn cold reads, preparation for scenes, internal dialogue, and monologues – all culminating into scene work with others. Provides an opportunity for an instructor-edited short scene shot, as sample reel in submission to student and independent films, or large productions.
