Mr. Calante has 28 years of extensive experience in the fields of mechanical, nuclear, civil and environmental engineering,
quality control, and design and project management. His varied career includes work as a mechanical engineer, nuclear
engineer, civil engineer, environmental engineer, and associate professor where he taught courses in nuclear power plants
and the construction and assembly of nuclear power plants. He has extensive knowledge of Florida Building codes and
other design codes including the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA); American Society of Heating, Refrigerating,
and Air Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE); and American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME). Mr. Calante is
responsible for the management and/or production of mechanical/electrical/plumbing (MEP)-related projects.

MEP Engineer. Responsible for plumbing design. Atkins is developing a new design and providing construction
administration services for the South Pointe Park Pier. This project consists of demolition of the existing +10,000-sf
fishing pier and installation of a new pier supported by more than 60 reinforced concrete piles with the footprint of the
non-serviceable pier.

electrical, and plumbing (MEP), security (AT/FP), site/civil, and sustainable design (LEED Silver)—all designs were created

Lead MEP Engineer. Coordinated all disciplines (MEP and fire alarm/fire protection) for a new 8-story, 35,000-sf
building. This urban infill building incorporates offices and classrooms, teaching labs, TV production studio, and a
commercial restaurant. Work performed included the plumbing and fire protection engineer-of-record. All systems
were coordinated to pursue LEED-New Construction (NC) Gold certification.

Mechanical Engineer. Responsible for MEP design. Atkins provided professional design services to the Grand Turk
Cruise Center for a new, one-story welcome center facility, located on a 30,000-sf site. In addition, Atkins provided
professional services for design and construction documents for shell-only buildings, except for a full build-out of the
public restrooms, including HVAC. The project will be developed in four phases: conceptual design with renderings;
design development documents for local government planning review; construction documents and bidding support
services; and construction administration.

services for the SET and BURN buildings at the North Campus.
