Unknown. Site is in a vacant lot near downtown McKittrick.<br />

From intersection of highways 58 and 33, near schoolhouse at east side of McKittrick, go south on<br />

Highway 33 about ½ mile, through “downtown McKittrick” (basically a junction with a grocery<br />

store and a hotel). The site is on the left in a vacant lot, about 1 block past hotel. Contact<br />

site operator for access.<br />

This is a compound formerly occupied by the West Side Operators Air Pollution Monitoring<br />

Station. It is located in an open area in the middle of McKittrick. Ground cover in the immediate<br />

area is chaparral. There are residences at distances of 100 to 200 m all around. <strong>California</strong><br />

Highway 58 is about 100 to 200 m to the west. Photos in Appendix D-2 show views from the site<br />

toward 8 direction sectors.<br />
