Wishing Well Put Up
In Detroit Theatre
DETROIT—The United Ani.^ts Theatre
Wishing Well is being placed back in public
service for the third time for several weeks
prior to Christmas by Managing Director
Dillon M. Krepps. The Well, artistically
treated to create a romantic and intriguing
atmosphere, is being set up to receive gifts
from the public for the wounded veterans at
Percy Jones hospital In Battle Creek

received and taken out to the boys at the hospital.
These included several electric shavers,
books. Argyle hose, hand-knit mufflers, fruit
cakes, toothpaste, boxes of candy or nuts and
one 21 -Inch television set. In addition, many
patrons donated cash, which was u.sed to
purchase gifts for the men.
The WLshlng Well was arranged by Krepps
in cooperation with the Detroit Times, which
gave excellent pubUclty to the idea, making it
a civic project.
