palph Batschelet, manager of the Tabor, and<br />
Charles Mulcahy. former assistant manager,<br />
are members of a company which is paying<br />
$250,000 for the Arthur M. Oberfelder<br />
theatrical booking agency. The agency controls<br />
most of the bookings for theatrical<br />
events, concerts and ice shows in Denver and<br />
surrounding cities. The new company will be<br />
known as the B&B Amusement Co., and in<br />
addition to live show bookings, will produce<br />
television films and shows.<br />
Dick Conley, city manager for Fox Intermountain<br />
Theatres, Butte, Mont., was named<br />
National Showman of the Charles P. Skouras<br />
20th Anniversary drive and was awarded a<br />
cash prize of $250. To win the prize Conley<br />
promoted free show days, kiddy shows, cooking<br />
schools, back-to-school shows, etc.<br />
Marietta Vasconcells, well-known publicity<br />
director, has been made manager of the<br />
World, recently opened as an art theatre by<br />
Robert Patrick . and Mrs. R. D. Ervin.<br />
Kremmling theatre owners, went to Los Angeles<br />
on business . . . Randolph Scott will be<br />

Knot" at the Denver and Esquire.<br />

The board of directors of the Allied<br />
. . . Rocky Mountain Independent Theatres met<br />
at the Denver headquarters and placed an<br />
okay on actions taken by the national convention.<br />
They especially approved actions on<br />
COMPO, arbitration, move to repeal the admission<br />
tax and voted for a continuation of<br />
Movietime tours.<br />
Tom Bailey, Lippert franchise owner, went<br />
to Salt Lake City to visit his exchange there<br />
Fetz, manager of the Denver Inspection<br />
& Shipping Bureau, is recuperating<br />
at home from injuries suffered in an auto<br />
accident. He was riding in the third car that<br />
became involved and he received some broken<br />
ribs, lacerations about the mouth and<br />
bruises. The car that originated the accident<br />
threw the second car against the Fetz car.<br />
Earl Keate accomplished something that<br />
most publicity men thought to be practically<br />
impossible. He secured a full seven-day<br />
serialization of a film in the Denver Post.<br />
The story was that of "Kansas City Confidential,"<br />
