9Auditing <strong>iManager</strong> Events<br />
Use <strong>Novell</strong> Audit for auditing <strong>iManager</strong> events. For more information, see the <strong>Novell</strong> Audit 2.0<br />

<strong>Novell</strong> Audit has the following prerequisites:<br />
A server (Solaris, Windows, Linux) in your directory tree with <strong>Novell</strong> Audit 2.0.x.<br />
<strong>Novell</strong> Audit Platform Agent installed on the <strong>iManager</strong> server or <strong>iManager</strong> Workstation desktop<br />
and configured to point to the Secure Logging Server.<br />
<strong>Novell</strong> Audit captures data about the following events:<br />
• Added authorized user<br />
• Successful login<br />
• Successful NPM install<br />
• Startup <strong>iManager</strong><br />
• Failed SSL connection<br />
• Logout<br />
• Changed configuration<br />
• Failed login<br />
• Failed NPM install<br />
• Shutdown <strong>iManager</strong><br />
The IMAN_EN.LSC file which contains this data is distributed under nps/support/audit and is<br />
installed via the <strong>Novell</strong> Audit process. It can also be installed manually by using the <strong>Novell</strong> Audit<br />
<strong>iManager</strong> plug‐in as described in the following section.<br />
9.1 Installing the IMAN_EN.LSC File in <strong>iManager</strong><br />
Install <strong>Novell</strong> Audit before you install the IMAN_EN.LSC file.<br />
1 Log in to <strong>iManager</strong>.<br />
2 Click Roles and Tasks > Auditing and Logging > Logging Server Options.<br />
3 Browse to and select the Logging Server object, then click OK.<br />
4 Click Log Applications > Applications.<br />
5 Click the Applications Actions link, then click New.<br />
6 Click OK to create a new Log Application in the container.<br />
