A confirmation appears indicating the user object has been deleted.<br />

5.8.3 Disabling an Account<br />

To disable a user account, thereby preventing the user from authenticating to the directory:<br />

NOTE: This only prevents a user from authenticating subsequent to disabling the account. If they are<br />

logged in when the account is disabled, their access continues unchanged until they log out.<br />

1 In Roles and Tasks, select Users > Disable Account.<br />

2 Specify, or use the Object Selector to find, the name and context of the object, then click OK.<br />

3 Click Disable.<br />

5.8.4 Enabling an Account<br />

To enable a previously disabled user account:<br />

1 In Roles and Tasks, select Users > Enable Account.<br />

2 Specify, or use the Object Selector to find, the name and context of the object, then click OK.<br />

3 Click Enable.<br />

5.8.5 Modifying a User<br />

To modify an existing user object’s properties:<br />

1 In Roles and Tasks, select Users > Modify User.<br />

2 Specify, or use the Object Selector to find, the name and context of the object, then click OK.<br />

The Content frame displays the user object’s property book.<br />

3 Make your changes, then click Apply or OK to save the changes.<br />

5.8.6 Moving a User<br />

To move a user object:<br />

1 In Roles and Tasks, select Users > Move User.<br />

2 Provide the required information, as described in “Moving an Object” on page 38.<br />

5.8.7 Renaming a User<br />

To rename a user object:<br />

1 In Roles and Tasks, select Users > Rename User.<br />

2 Provide the required information, as described in “Renaming an Object” on page 39.<br />
