Concert and Ballet Performance at Esenboğa Airport<br />
<strong>TAV</strong> Esenboga hosted a concert of the Greater<br />
Municipality of Ankara’s City Orchestra and ballet<br />
performances by Hacettepe University students. On<br />
the stage set up at the airport, the Greater Municipality<br />
of Ankara’s City Orchestra performed its repertoire<br />
consisting of classical, jazz and classical Turkish pieces.<br />
“Turning Points of the Gallipoli War” Exhibit at <strong>TAV</strong><br />
Gallery<br />
With the support of <strong>TAV</strong> Airports Holding airport<br />
operating company, <strong>TAV</strong> Istanbul, photographs reflecting<br />
the most violent moments of the Gallipoli War were<br />
exhibited for 20 days at the <strong>TAV</strong> Gallery, located in the<br />
Atatürk Airport International Terminal.<br />
Organized by the Çanakkale Martyrs Research and<br />
Promotion Association, the Çanakkale Martyrs Exhibit<br />
shed light on history through photographs reflecting the<br />
devastating conditions of war through this exhibition<br />
entitled “1915 Çanakkale… Where humanity defeated<br />
war!”<br />
<strong>TAV</strong> Georgia Breeze in Ankara in Georgia Week<br />
<strong>TAV</strong> Georgia, the first airport operating company of <strong>TAV</strong><br />
Airports, assumed the sponsorship of Georgia Week, held<br />
May 26-30, 2008, at the Ankara Sheraton Hotel. Held in<br />
order to contribute to the development of Turkey-Georgia<br />
relations, the activity’s opening ceremony was hosted by<br />
Grigol Mgaloblishvili, the Georgian ambassador to Turkey.<br />
Sema Performance during Ramadan<br />
<strong>TAV</strong> Airports Holding organized Sema Performances<br />
throughout the month of Ramadan at the İstanbul<br />
Atatürk, Ankara Esenboğa and İzmir Adnan Menderes<br />
Airports. The Sema Performances took place<br />
simultaneously at all airports.<br />
“Dreams that Change” Exhibit at the Atatürk Airport with<br />
Contributions of <strong>TAV</strong> Istanbul<br />
<strong>TAV</strong> Istanbul supported the “Dreams that Change”<br />
Exhibit that consisted of 77 pieces produced by children<br />
of financially challenged families at 11 Education Parks<br />
and 10 Learning Centers of the Educational Volunteers<br />
Foundation of Turkey. All artwork was created by<br />
students from waste materials, and the exhibit was<br />
open for two months at the <strong>TAV</strong> Gallery, located at the<br />
İstanbul Atatürk Airport.<br />
<strong>TAV</strong> Airports was the Support Sponsor for the 25th<br />
International Physics Congress<br />
The Turkish Physics Society’s 25th International Physics<br />
Congress scientific meeting in 2008 was held in Bodrum.<br />
Organized under the support sponsorship of <strong>TAV</strong><br />
Airports, the congress was attended by many scientists<br />
from around the world.<br />
<strong>TAV</strong> Airports Support for the National Youth Symphony<br />
Orchestra<br />
Recognizing that music is necessary in a civil and modern<br />
society, musician Cem Mansur organized a symphony<br />
comprised of young musicians. The National Youth<br />
Symphony Orchestra (UGSO) performed three concerts in<br />
Germany with the support of <strong>TAV</strong> Airports Holding.
