Hamdi Akın, Chairman, <strong>TAV</strong> Airports Holding, 55.<br />

Hamdi Akın assumed his current duties as the <strong>TAV</strong><br />

Airports Holding Chairman in 2005. He is the founder and<br />

Chairman of Akfen Holding, a shareholder of <strong>TAV</strong> Airports<br />

Holding. Graduated from the Department of Mechanical<br />

Engineering, Gazi University, Akın founded Akfen Holding<br />

in 1975, a company that operates in the construction,<br />

tourism, commerce and services sectors. Undertaking<br />

infrastructure and investment projects within the scope<br />

of privatization efforts besides private entrepreneurial<br />

activities, Akın contributed to the creation of the Chair<br />

in Contemporary Turkish Studies at the London School<br />

of Economics through Akfen Holding. He is currently<br />

a Member of the Board of Directors of the Turkish<br />

Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (TÜSİAD)<br />

and the Chairman of the Information Society and New<br />

Technologies Commission. Akın is also the Founding<br />

Member and the Honorary Chairman of the Turkey<br />

Human Resources Foundation (TİKAV), which he cofounded<br />

in 1999 in order to provide well-educated human<br />

resources for Turkey.<br />

Ali Haydar Kurtdarcan, Vice Chairman,<br />

<strong>TAV</strong> Airports Holding, 58.<br />

Ali Haydar Kurtdarcan assumed his current duties as<br />

the <strong>TAV</strong> Airports Holding Vice Chairman in 2000 and is<br />

also the Chairman of the Audit Committee. Graduated<br />

from the Department of Civil Engineering, Middle East<br />

Technical University in 1973, Kurtdarcan is the Chairman<br />

and CEO of Tepe Construction, a shareholder of <strong>TAV</strong><br />

Airports Holding. He has filled various managerial<br />

positions, including general manager and assistant<br />

general manager, at Tepe Construction for the last 22<br />

years.<br />

Mustafa Sani Şener, Board Member and President & CEO,<br />

<strong>TAV</strong> Airports Holding, 54.<br />

Mustafa Sani Şener was appointed as the Member of the<br />

Board of Directors, President and CEO of <strong>TAV</strong> Airports<br />

Holding in 1997. Graduated from the Department of<br />

Mechanical Engineering, Black Sea Technical University<br />

(BTU) in 1977, Şener earned his Masters degree on fluid<br />

mechanics in 1979 from the Department of Applied<br />

Sciences, University of Sussex, the UK. He has been<br />

awarded Honorary Doctorate from BTU for his invaluable<br />

contributions to the development of Turkish engineering<br />

at international level. Before his career at <strong>TAV</strong> Airports,<br />

he filled project manager and general manager positions<br />

in prominent national and international projects.<br />

İbrahim Süha Güçsav, Board Member,<br />

<strong>TAV</strong> Airports Holding, 41.<br />

İbrahim Süha Güçsav was graduated from the<br />

Department of Economics, İstanbul University in 1992,<br />

and received his masters degree from the Department<br />

of Business Administration, the Institute of Social<br />

Sciences in Gazi University. Starting off on his career at<br />

Alexander & Alexander Insurance Brokerage Co. in 1992,<br />

Güçsav joined the Akfen Group in 1994. Serving as the<br />

Group President of Finance and then as the CEO at Akfen<br />

Holding, he has been the Vice Chairman of Akfen Holding<br />

since 2003. Güçsav also serves as a Member of the<br />

Board of Directors at various subsidiaries including <strong>TAV</strong><br />

Airports Holding, Executive Director at Akfen GYO Real<br />

Estate Investment Trust, and the CEO at IBS Insurance<br />

Brokerage Services.
