Operating Basics
RTF: Use RTF (Rich Text Format) to create results data that you can incorporate into
documents.
PDF: Use PDF (Portable Document Format) to create files of the measurement data for
distribution and viewing.
CSV VM5000 (Option SD/HD) or CSV (Option VGA): Use CSV VM5000 (Comma-Separated
Values), to save results in a format that contains information on all the new measurements
and options. For example, Relative to Reference and Limit Testing results are included in the
report.
CSV Legacy (Option SD/HD) - Original format for Version 1 of the software. It is provided
for compatibility for customers who use a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet macro to process the
file.
4. Use the File Name box to
specify where you want to save
the report. Use the Browse
button to navigate to a specific
location. Use the Get Default
button to reset the file name to
the default location and name
for the selected format.

5. Use the Description field to add
notes into the report file. You
can enter up to 46 characters.
For example:
“Serial Number 123456789012
tested by Joe P.”

6. Use the Measurements option
button to select which
measurements to save to a
report.

All: Creates a report with all the measurements you have run since starting the application
which have valid results in the results panels.
Selected: Creates a report with only the measurements that are currently selected in the
Configuration> Measurements screen and that have valid results in the results panels.
