In addition to <strong>the</strong> increase in efficiency <strong>and</strong> competitiveness that is expected from <strong>the</strong> participation<br />

<strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> Mexican industry in <strong>the</strong> CDM process, ano<strong>the</strong>r important factor to promote <strong>the</strong> industry<br />

participation in climate change related activities, is <strong>the</strong> high degree <strong>of</strong> sensitivity that some<br />

industrial branches have to <strong>the</strong> phenomena (possible climate impacts on: location, inputs, markets,<br />

etc.). Some researches 17 have categorized <strong>the</strong> industrial vulnerability to climate change <strong>and</strong><br />

variability, <strong>and</strong> concluded that <strong>the</strong> most affected industrial activities would be:<br />
