international validation stage.

Up to May 2005, excluding the forest related projects; COMEGEI has identified 34 investors with
potential CDM projects at some degree of development, with GHG quantified reduction potential
over 11 million tons of CO 2 eq.
Of the 34 potential projects:
12 relate to renewable energy (minihydro and wind);
12 to the utilization of municipal and organic waste;
4 to energy efficiency and process re-engineering;
3 to transport;
1 to coal mines associated gas;
1 to underground carbon sequestration, and
1 to HFC 23 incineration.
In addition, COMEGEI has detected 72 forest related projects, two of them formally at the
Mexican pipeline:
