potential CDM projects at some degree <strong>of</strong> <strong>development</strong>, with GHG quantified reduction potential<br />

over 11 million tons <strong>of</strong> CO 2 eq.<br />

Of <strong>the</strong> 34 potential projects:<br />

12 relate to renewable energy (minihydro <strong>and</strong> wind);<br />

12 to <strong>the</strong> utilization <strong>of</strong> municipal <strong>and</strong> organic waste;<br />

4 to energy efficiency <strong>and</strong> process re-engineering;<br />

3 to transport;<br />

1 to coal mines associated gas;<br />

1 to underground carbon sequestration, <strong>and</strong><br />

1 to HFC 23 incineration.<br />

In addition, COMEGEI has detected 72 <strong>for</strong>est related projects, two <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong>m <strong>for</strong>mally at <strong>the</strong><br />
