The interest shown during the Seminar was high and sustained. They recognized that, as a group,
there is a varying degree of knowledge of the CDM, and some of them appreciated the introduction
to the concept. The number of questions was also high with a good degree of orientation to the
possible activities that could be conducted by the Center on CDM, and also to the possible
engagement of the Center in a new activity.
The interest of the Technical staff to participate in CDM activities was high and they
consider that this new area represent, at the same time, a professional challenge and an
opportunity for the opening of the Center to new areas, welcome after 10 years of
experience in Cleaner Production. Several comments are to be reflected in Chapter IV of
this report, to incorporate them to the future activities of the UNIDO-Austria Project.
