On the mountains, the Aggeneys Gravel Vygieveld is considered an isolated, arid and
most north-eastern part of true Succulent Karoo vegetation, worthy of special protection.
Almost none of this area and the more widespread Bushmanland Sandy Grassland
vegetation unit are formally conserved.
