Karen L. Pletz, J.D., Administration Building<br />
The Karen L. Pletz, J.D., Administration Building houses the administrative <strong>of</strong>fices<br />
and support facilities <strong>of</strong> the <strong>University</strong>.<br />
Annex<br />
The <strong>University</strong> Annex houses Classroom A (a 220-seat lecture hall) and Classroom B<br />
(a 250-seat lecture hall).<br />
Mary Lou Butterworth, D.O., Alumni Center<br />
The Mary Lou Butterworth, D.O., Alumni Center is the gateway to the <strong>Kansas</strong> <strong>City</strong><br />
<strong>University</strong> <strong>of</strong> Medicine and Biosciences campus. As a gathering place for students,<br />
faculty, alumni and friends, the Alumni Center provides the opportunity for the greater<br />
<strong>University</strong> community to share experiences, build friendships and develop the future<br />
together. The Alumni Center serves as the home <strong>of</strong> the Alumni Relations and <strong>University</strong><br />
Advancement Offices. The center also provides ample meeting space for continuing<br />
medical education courses, reunion activities and other special events.<br />
Kesselheim Center for Clinical Competence<br />
Opened in 2006, the Kesselheim Center for Clinical Competence houses the<br />
<strong>University</strong>’s Standardized Patient Program and Human Patient Simulator Program.<br />
Paul and Mary Dybedal Center for Research<br />
Opened in 2004, the Paul and Mary Dybedal Center for Research houses basic and<br />
clinical research laboratories, the <strong>University</strong>’s Information Technology Department and<br />
the Score 1 for Health program. The building also houses classrooms for biomedical<br />
sciences and bioethics students.<br />
Leonard Smith Hall<br />
Renovated in 1993, Leonard Smith Hall houses state-<strong>of</strong>-the-art computer<br />
technologies, including individual computer rooms and three large computer-supported<br />
audiovisual rooms, all networked and supported by a file server and s<strong>of</strong>tware library. This<br />
Academic Resource Center also houses a student study hall and locker rooms.<br />
Strickland Education Pavilion<br />
Strickland Education Pavilion, completed in 1996, houses a 273-seat lecture hall; the<br />
anatomy, biochemistry, microbiology, pharmacology and physiology laboratories; an<br />
animal care facility; faculty <strong>of</strong>fices; the Osteopathic Clinical Skills laboratory; the campus<br />
cafeteria; the library; and the gym.<br />
