3.1.3 Public use of data:
a) retrieve Pre-flight Information
Bulletins (PIBs);
b) access a library of AIPs, AIP
supplements, AIP amendments,
AICs and charts that can be
browsed and consulted by users;
c) query and retrieve static data;
and
d) access via public internet:

3.1.4 A 24-hour technical and
operational helpdesk is provided to support
data providers and data users.
3. GENERAL IMPLEMENTATION
3.1 The EAD became operational on
6 June 2003 and the migration status of clients
to the EAD can be found on the website:
"http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/status.html".
4. SPECIAL PROCEDURES
APPLIED BY THE EAD TO NOTAM
PROCESSING
5.1 NOTAM received from States or
organisations that are not clients and that do
not comply with international standards will be
re-processed by the EAD in order to comply
with Annex 15. The EAD will always provide
access to the original NOTAM received.
5.2 NOTAM will be reprocessed as
follows:
a) Conversion to Annex 15-
compliant NOTAM format.
b) Trigger NOTAM will be
created by the EAD for the
States or organisations that are
not clients and that do not
comply with international
standards. These NOTAM are
available only to EAD clients. In
such case, a special series "T"
will be used with the relevant
Doc 7910 State identification.
Once States start to promulgate
their own Trigger NOTAM, the
EAD will discontinue this task.
c) NOTAM received in Spanish
or French language will be
translated
into
English.
d) Syntax correction will be
performed for obvious mistakes
in syntax.
e) Data correction will be
carried out for detected mistakes
in data.
f) Editing of text will be
performed in order to clarify it.
g) A short summary of the text
contained in Item E will be
contained in Item X. This will be
used internally by the EAD and
Item X of the NOTAM will not
be distributed by AFTN.
However, users obtaining a PIB
issued through the EAD will see
such short text entries but will
always have the possibility to
access the original text.
