After graduation rrom the Lewis and Clark High<br />
School in Spokane, Washington, :\'ordstrom attended<br />
the Cniversity or Michigan for thrce years' training in<br />
Naval Architecture. At Michigan, he took part in many<br />
of the extracurricular activitif's. This educational background<br />
prior to his <strong>Babson</strong> Institute training has made<br />
him tolerant, resourceful, and conscientious. .'\fter<br />
employment of a few years in thl' Shipbuilding Industry,<br />
he soon' became aware that additional business (~ducation<br />
was n'ecessary. It was then, September, 1940. that he<br />
enrolled at <strong>Babson</strong> I nsti tu te .<br />
PRACTICAL TRAININ(;<br />
Nordstrom has been in the employ of' the Nnvport<br />
Ncws Shipyard. Thcre, he underwent a two years'<br />
apprenticeship training. This work consisted of actual<br />
