BACKGROL'ND
Since his family has been connected with the brewing
industry for thn-~e generations, Wehlf' has a particularly
fint" insight into that industry, He is primarily interf'sted
in establishing his own brewery business. Ht> has had
experience in successfully managing his own chicken
business, raising 300 chickens weekly, but hecause of
limited time he had to forsake this for further business
training. In 1935, he started a silver fox ranch vvith a
capital outlay of about six thousand dollars. The summers
of' 193;") and 1936 Viere spent in the operation of'this
ranch.

Wehle has suppkmenled his actual experience 111 the
brewing industry by the wurk done at Babsun Institute.
He has had courses in Marketing, Accounting, Fednal
Taxation, Sales Management, Production l\Ilanagement,
and Advertising, all of which he related to the brewing
industry.
Trained 111 Statistical Ylethods, Wf'hk conducted a
survey of actual beer production over the last len yt'ars,
adjusting the data for seasonal variation and establishing
a trend line.
